General Val d'Oise Rules for ALL members
Every Famille member and full member is welcomed as they are the lifeblood of Roissy Val d'Oise.
All avatars must be 60 days old in order to start a path at Roissy VDO. Avatars may become Famille and attend social events and workshops. If under the age of 60 days the avatar may not enter roleplay areas such as The Chateau and Dungeons. Avatars must also be of adult human form to be on the sim at any time. This means no child avatars, tinies, furies, or animals. No children's clothing or children's AO's permitted.
We do not allow Alts. If you are found to have more than one Avatar in our groups, both Avatars will be ejected and banned.
Should you choose to follow the submissive path and come to Roissy Val d'Oise uncollared, you will remain that way until after your graduation. Should you be collared off sim, your collar will not be recognized here, and you will be considered uncollared and expected to continue to follow the rules of the sim and your training. If you violate this rule, both you and the Dominant will be punished by a reduction in Tag, and you will have to re-earn your advancement. If there is a 2nd Offense, the offenders will be ejected and banned.
If you come here owned and your owner is also a member, you may follow the Courtesan path after your initiation.
Collaring between member is only allowed once the submissive graduates the training path as a Sister and the dominant is a Master/Mistress.
We may be an adult SIM, but public nudity does not reflect well on the community. Please always be properly dressed. Designated areas for nudity are the Chateau grounds and the Dungeon.
Addressing people: Famille are addressed to as Mr./Sir or Miss. Dominants are addressed based on their respective level, i.e., Sir/Miss, Master/Mistress, or Maitre/Maitresse (you will know which applies by their tag). Female submissives are addressed by their first name.
This is a D/s sim, as such the Dominants and the Dominant office will enforce the rules and determine punishment if any is needed.
If a Samois sister, her mentor and any sister has suggested to another about complying to the rules and they do not. The Samois sister and her mentor is to contact the Dominant Supervisor Justyn Clawtooth, or a Maitre, or Master who is on sim. If there is no one available, please send a note card to the Dominant Supervisor Justyn Clawtooth. The Dominant office will handle the issue.
This does not mean that a Samois sister or her mentor and any sister must suggest compliance to another member, nor is it their job. This only applies should they choose to do so.
The main role pay areas center around the Château and dungeon. We ask you please not to go into IM and keep the chat local when in the public areas of these places for the enjoyment of everyone.
Any type of sexual Role Play is not permitted outside of these areas, unless in private Residence. (Note: no scenes for logs can be conducted within private residences.) Your group Tag MUST be worn when entering role play areas.
It is important to keep in mind that VdO is a D/s sim. Sexual roleplay on the sim should always be between dominants and submissives. We are all human and some who happen to be on the same side of the D/s equation may find themselves attracted to each other. Those who choose to act upon such mutual attraction must do so off sim.
Roleplay at VdO, just as anywhere else in SL is visible to anyone around. Keeping RP here to D/s interplay will avoid confusion, conflict and unwanted advances which may be embarrassing for all concerned. The only time two dominants should be involved in sexual roleplay is when dominating a submissive together and the primary interaction is centered around the submissive. This is the only exception. All other sexual roleplay must remain exclusively D/s.
Leashing and wearing cuffs and other BDSM gear
Leashing of submissives is only allowed in the Chateau and the Dungeon. The Dominant may leash the submissive if they are already on their way to the Chateau or the Dungeon.
Wearing cuffs or any BDSM gear is only allowed in the Chateau and the Dungeon. The only exception is if a Dominant has punished the submissive making her wear something for a limited period of time. This will be verified in this case by the Dominant office.
Private residences are just that, private. You can only enter them with permission of the owner. Remember, scenes for logs cannot be conducted in private residences.
The teleport system is available at the landing point to the main areas of Roissy Val D'oise. When in the main Role Play Areas (Chateau, dungeon) we ask you NOT tp in and out of them.
The philosophy of the Role Play here is to keep it real. We therefore ask you to leave by actually walking out of the room or building accordingly. This helps to ensure the continuation of the Role Play that may be going on around you and is generally considered good manners. So, we ask you to please excuse yourself and leave appropriately
The use of group chat

Admin members are there to assist in the smooth running of Val D'oise. They are very busy people and highly valuable members of the community. We ask you to try to resolve minor disputes amicably with the people directly involved in the first instance prior to asking for intervention from Admin members. When wearing an Admin Tag a member is not obliged to interact in Role play.

Dress code
We encourage you to dress according to the theme of the VdO. Masters were from the French upper class, so we suggest formal suits and tuxes for Dominants.
Sisters and Demoiselles are encouraged to dress according to the dresses of O - any design you prefer, or sensual gowns - in the Chateau.
Courtesans will wear whatever outfits their owners allow them to wear within the theme of the SIM.
Courtesans (owned submissives) may be pierced or marked by their Master. The exception to this rule is Debutantes.
The Dominant Supervisor will address any concerns regarding the dress and piercing/marking of owned submissives.
Debutantes have a separate stated dress code that can be found in the Deb log.
Event Dress code:
The Dress code will be called out for each event with the announcement.
DJ and themed events: Spelled out in that announcement. Debutantes and Dom Interns will wear clothes that cover appropriately.
Ballroom Dances = Formal
Graduations and Ceremonies = Formal
Initiation = Formal
Lingerie Wednesday.
Lingerie on Wednesdays is a fun concept, not forced upon anyone. It is OPTIONAL!
Exceptions that day are Events.
Workshop Instructor = Non-lingerie
Hosting = Lingerie should be tasteful, all private parts covered, and no ass cheeks exposed.
Famillie members we ask you also to respect the dress code and adapt it accordingly.
Be creative and original and wear what you think they might wear in 1954 or to present day

Your group Tag MUST be worn when entering role play areas.
When entering a role play area you are there to do exactly that.. Role play.
The only exception to this is the 'Admin Tag', people wearing this Tag are actively working for the sim and therefore not obliged to engage in role play at that time .
We ask you as full members to actively help in managing this by asking politely in IM if they a member is not wearing the correct Tag to please do so. If needed, refer them to the group rules and policies .
Do not proceed to Role play with anyone who is not wearing their group Tag
Please remember Famille members are only permitted to observe and not roleplay sexually. They are welcome to observe in a discrete manner. If a full member is found engaging further with Famille, their Roissy Val d'Oise tag may be demoted for a period.
They are permitted to roleplay non-sexually, asking for a coffee in the café for example.
We emphasize again that role play in the public areas of the Chateau and dungeon are to be kept on local chat, however use of IM is allowed in the private areas of the bedrooms. .
If you rez any objects within the role play area we ask you kindly to remove them immediately after use.
The use of Roissy Val D'oise is given to you to enjoy, there is no cost to any individual at all. To assist in the growth and development of Roissy Val D'oise we ask that as a full member you add a 'pic' in your profile. We thank you for your continued support.
We insist, debutantes, demoiselles, sisters and courtesans put their preferences and limits in their profiles, this will prevent any misunderstandings. Failing to do so will possibly cause a demotion of tag.
If any role play is not fun or close to crossing limits the use of a safe word is expected. (Green, Yellow and Red) Using safeword RED will immediately STOP any roleplay and never has consequences other than to be (emotionally) SAFE.
Safe, Sane and Consensual (SSC) ALWAYS applies. Your Dominant group tag gives you the right to APPROACH sisters and demoiselles for role play but please read their profile limits and preferences prior to doing so.
Under no circumstances should anyone ask you for real life information, picture, to voice or cam. For the safety of all of our members please report any harassment in that area to the admin team immediately.
Please consider if you have crashed and are unable to re log within a reasonable amount of time that logging back into your "last location" may not be appropriate..
Roissy Val d'Oise is a fast growing and very popular sim. We are very proud of its achievements in such a short span of time. This has only become possible with the valued support and commitment of our members.
The guidelines and rules are there to assist all of us in achieving this and we thank you for your cooperation.
